Housing off-campus

  • Startrenting.com or rent.com are free apartment search websites in which you can choose search parameters, including location, bedrooms, price, amenities, etc.
  • UW-Madison has an off-campus housing listing service. The website provides a listing of apartments, houses, efficiencies, rooms and co-ops for students and the university community, submitted by tenants, sublessors, owners and managers.

Bus Pass Information

  • The ASM Bus Pass Program entitles most students a pass for unlimited rides on the local bus and paratransit system in the Madison metro area. The bus passes can be picked up at Memorial Union and at certain times it can be picked up at Union South. A student must present a valid student ID upon pick up. Check the website for more details. In addition, check out http://www.wiscard.wisc.edu for information about picking up your student ID.
  • Madison Metro has a website with their current bus schedules. The busses with numbers of 80, 81, 82, 84, and 85 are campus busses and are free to everyone regardless if you have a bus pass or not.
