If you are interested in a bachelor's degree, we invite you to explore the information about our programs in Communicative Disorders. Through the College of Letters and Science, we offer a Bachelor of Science degree; and through the School of Education, we offer a Bachelor of Arts degree.

If you are interested in a master's degree, we invite you to peruse the information about our M.S. programs in Speech-Language Pathology. Two different master's degree options are available, clinical and non-clinical. Our clinical program is accredited by the American Speech Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) and leads to eligibility for ASHA's Certificate of Clinical Compentence in Speech-Language Pathology. Our non-clinical program does not lead to eligibility for ASHA certification.

If you are interested in a doctoral degree, please see the information about our Ph.D. programs in audiology, normal aspects of speech-language-hearing, and speech-language pathology. We also offer a new professional doctorate in audiology (AuD) that leads to eligibility for ASHA's Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology. Finally, we have recently introduced a combined M.S. / Ph.D. program for beginning graduate students who are interested in a research or academic career.

Our comprehensive academic and clinical programs are built on the strengths of our faculty. As a department, our goal is to ensure the development of the highest quality clinicians, researchers, and teachers who possess a solid foundation in the theoretical and applied aspects of the disciplines of speech language pathology and audiology. Many members of our faculty are nationally and internationally recognized for their research; and they offer valuable opportunities for students to become involved in a variety of different projects. Our graduate programs in speech language pathology and audiology are consistently ranked in the top five nationally. Our graduate program in speech language pathology is currently ranked #2 in the country by U.S. News and World Report.

We hope that as you explore our website you will find the kind of information you are seeking. Please feel free to contact any of us by email with your questions.
