Interests

Trici’s clinical interests involve school-based services. She served a three year term as an editorial consultant for the Journal of Language, Speech, and Hearing Services in Schools; is a past WSHA VP of School Services; and was the first ASHA State Education Advocacy Leader (SEAL) for WI. Trici served on the ASHA committee that created the position statement, technical report, guidelines, implementation guide, and teleweb/CD seminar related to a workload analysis approach to case load standards in schools; is currently chair of the ASHA committee that created the professional performance appraisal process for the school-based speech-language pathologist; and has served on numerous WI Dept. of Public Instruction committees including Wisconsin’s Title II Teacher Quality Education Grant-Improving Professional Practice in Teacher Education. Trici is a recipient of the WSHA Outstanding Service Award and has been an invited speaker at numerous state and national conventions. She completed her clinical fellowship in medical settings; worked 14 years as a school-based speech-language pathologist in WI schools; and since 1989 has worked in the UW-Madison Department of Communicative Disorders.
